Effective Date: April 2026
By accessing and using this website (greenwaverentals.com) and by requesting quotes, placing rental orders, or engaging Greenwave Rentals (operating as Greenwave Power) to provide battery power systems and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions herein, you are not authorized to use this website or our services.
These terms are subject to change at any time. Continued use of our services after modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
Greenwave Rentals provides professional battery power system rentals for film productions, live events, hospitals, infrastructure projects, construction sites, and other commercial applications. Our rental fleet includes:
Services include equipment delivery, professional setup and configuration, site support, and pickup. All equipment is maintained and managed by Greenwave Rentals. Equipment rental pricing is quoted individually based on project requirements and is not available for online checkout.
Our standard rental workflow consists of five phases:
You submit a Power Planning Tool assessment (or contact us directly) detailing your power requirements, project duration, location, and equipment preferences. This helps us understand your needs and ensure proper equipment selection.
Greenwave Rentals will provide a custom quote including equipment type, delivery date, rental duration, setup costs, support services, and total pricing. The quote remains valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. You must approve the quote in writing (email confirmation acceptable) to proceed.
Upon approval and payment of the deposit (where applicable), Greenwave Rentals will deliver, install, configure, and test all equipment at your site. You will provide safe access, suitable environmental conditions, and any specialized connections required (e.g., three-phase power feeds for large trailers). Setup is included in rental pricing; extended commissioning may incur additional fees.
During the rental period, Greenwave Rentals provides technical support, monitoring, and maintenance. Remote assistance is available 24/7. On-site visits beyond the included scope may incur additional charges. You must immediately report any equipment malfunction, unsafe conditions, or power anomalies to our support team.
At the end of the rental period, Greenwave Rentals will retrieve, inspect, and collect all equipment. You are responsible for ensuring all equipment is safe to handle, powered down, and accessible for pickup. Final invoicing, including any overage charges or damage assessments, will occur after inspection.
Rented equipment must be used solely for the purposes stated in the rental agreement. Equipment must be operated according to manufacturer specifications and all instructions provided by Greenwave Rentals. You are responsible for ensuring only trained personnel operate the equipment.
You must maintain safe operating conditions including adequate ventilation, protection from weather extremes (unless equipment is IP-rated for outdoor use), secure placement away from foot traffic, and compliance with all site safety protocols and regulations. You must not operate equipment in hazardous, explosive, or corrosive environments without prior written consent from Greenwave Rentals.
You are liable for damage to rented equipment caused by negligence, misuse, improper operation, or failure to follow instructions. Liability includes accidental damage not covered by normal wear and tear (e.g., drops, water damage from neglect, overheating, power surges from your site infrastructure). Greenwave Rentals will assess damage and issue a damage invoice separate from the rental fee.
You are also liable for total loss of equipment through theft, abandonment, or permanent damage. Loss liability equals the full replacement value of the equipment.
Minor degradation from normal use (battery capacity decline over time, cosmetic scuffing, light discoloration) is not billed. However, preventable damage (e.g., corroded connections due to moisture neglect, cracked enclosures) will be charged.
You are responsible for protecting equipment from unauthorized access and preventing third parties from tampering with or damaging the equipment. You must notify Greenwave Rentals immediately of any theft, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
Rental pricing is quoted per project and is final upon written acceptance. Pricing covers standard equipment delivery, setup, and pickup within a defined geographical area (typically Greater Vancouver area). Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Payment is typically required as follows: 50% deposit due upon approval of the quote; remaining 50% due three business days prior to delivery. Alternative payment arrangements may be available upon request and are confirmed in the quote.
If payment is not received by the due date, Greenwave Rentals may reschedule the rental delivery or cancel the order. Late payments may also incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge on outstanding balances.
The following may incur additional fees beyond the base rental rate: extended support hours, overtime labor for setup or troubleshooting, travel beyond the service area, specialized connections or integrations, extended rental periods, and damage repairs. Additional charges will be communicated and agreed upon before work is performed.
All prices exclude applicable Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). HST will be added to the final invoice in accordance with Canadian tax law.
Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected] and are subject to the following terms:
Requests to reschedule a confirmed rental may be granted if made at least 14 days in advance, subject to equipment availability and applicable rescheduling fees. Rescheduling within 14 days or on short notice may not be possible; cancellation fees will apply.
Greenwave Rentals reserves the right to cancel a rental if payment is not received by the due date, if you breach these terms, if circumstances beyond our control prevent service delivery (e.g., natural disasters), or if your site is unsafe or unsuitable for our equipment. In such cases, your deposit will be refunded or credit applied to a future rental.
Greenwave Rentals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from equipment rental, use, or performance. This includes loss of business, revenue, data, or production time. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if Greenwave Rentals has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Greenwave Rentals's total aggregate liability under these terms shall not exceed the total rental fees paid by you for the specific rental period in question.
Equipment power output, efficiency, battery capacity, and operating life are based on manufacturer specifications and typical operating conditions. Actual performance may vary based on environmental conditions, load patterns, age, and maintenance history. Greenwave Rentals does not warrant specific performance outcomes or guarantee equipment will meet every application requirement. You are responsible for assessing equipment suitability for your project and requesting engineering consultation if needed.
Equipment is rented "as is." Greenwave Rentals provides no warranty beyond the manufacturer's standard warranty (if any applies to rental units). Rental equipment is not new and may have prior use history. You accept equipment in its current condition and accept the risk of mechanical or functional issues arising during your rental period.
